Once again, the media doesn’t understand the difference between hacking and social engineering.
Three charged as Comcast hackers
“As described in the indictment, the hackers got control of the domain with two phone calls, and an e-mail was sent to the company’s domain registrar, Network Solutions, from a hacked Comcast e-mail account.”
So maybe, maybe the email address was hacked, but more likely it was a spoofed header, which hardly qualifies as “hacking”.
